Iām an independent residential interior designer. My love of design started early, building forts with my best friend in the wooded lot next door or in the attic of our old house. To this day, my favorite places respect the natural world outside, while nurturing beauty and personal space inside.
Studying interior design at Marylhurst University in Portland, Oregon, I learned the importance of scale and concept as drivers to successful design. A strong design acknowledges the adjoining spaces and the architecture of the house. The materials and how they are applied can make or break the finished room. My goal is to enhance the house to make it more functional and pleasing to the client.
For each project, I create a master plan that serves as a guide for both the client and contractor. Along with drawing plans and elevations, I select and specify products so the scope of work is definable. I coordinate closely with contractors to smooth the process for my clients.
